While it may not retain parity with its PC brethren, Bluepoint Games and PUBG Corp has undoubtedly worked tirelessly over the past few months to bring the game up to scratch. Files now load far more efficiency meaning, in theory, the game on Xbox One will run as well as it ever has on console. Most importantly, however, are the changes to the technical side of things. You can now sprint at a “wider angle” which should make life much easier for those on the go. There’s literal running: sprinting diagonally has now been improved exponentially after it was previously only effective in straight lines.

The PC as well as Xbox launches of the game were riddled with bugs and the company even started an initiative called FixPUBG in order to iron out the issues. We do not make these decisions lightly and our last decision was originally made to provide a better experience in terms of quicker matchmaking. “We have decided to revert this decision and will not be closing any of the modes today, due to community feedback. However, the company later backtracked on this decision and stated that these modes will not be closed. As per the developer, this was done due to the high matchmaking times. It also fixed issues in which the PUBG Limited Edition Controller DLC item (Male Jacket) would display incorrect color. This includes a reduction in the instances of desync as well as the option to enable a forward movement deadzone.
